Scott practiced architecture in eastern Iowa from 1969-1992  and has been involved in real estate development since 1975 including ownership of numerous properties.  In 1975 he became a registered architect in the state of Iowa.  Scott joined Skogman Realty in 1993 as a licensed Realtor and in 1996 obtained his broker's license.  In 1998 Scott obtained a Certified Facility Manager designation from IFMA and in 1999 he received an office and industrial specialist designation from SIOR. 

His diversified commercial real estate experience since 1993 ranges from proposal development and client presentations to feasibility studies, rezonings and sales/leasing.  In his 15 years of commercial real estate, his sales/leasing volume exceeded $420,000,000 and Scott is the only commercial broker in the United States that has dual SIOR designations, is an IFMA certified facility manager and a registered architect. 

Scott has been active in many civic, community and professional organizations on a local, regional and national level.  Currently serving on 15 boards and committees, his involvement has ranged from non-profit human service agencies/low income housing groups, and city/county commissions/task force efforts, to fraternity and Iowa State University activities.  Professionally, Scott is actively involved in economic development, real estate, facility management, marketing, housing and architectural organizations. 

In 2003, Scott was awarded the first annual "Good Neighbor" award by the Iowa Association of Realtors.

Doug has been working multi-family management and real estate since 1986.  In 2001, he joined the Commercial Real Estate division of Skogman Realty.  He was Skogman Commercial's "Rookie of the Year" for 2002.  In April, 2004, he obtained his Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) certification.  Doug has gained excellent expertise in the fields of warehouse, retail, office, multi-family, and all other general commercial property sales and leasing.

In March, 2006, Doug earned his Broker Associate designation, and in October 2006 he earned his SIOR designation.

He also has many years of experience in the medical and long-term care fields.  As a result, he has built long-standing relationships with many civic and business leaders in Cedar Rapids .

Mr. Laird's sales in 2005 were in excess of $15,000,000.

Karl began working with Scott Olson in 1996 as a part time intern.  Since then he has earned his BA in Business Administration from Coe College in Cedar Rapids as well as becoming a licensed Realtor.  His involvement in the team includes internet, e-mail, and direct mail marketing as well as performing market research studies.  Karl also participates in listing, sales, and leasing of commercial properties as well as multi-family/residential assignments.
